Exercises of Practical Life
During the age group of 2½ years, the children learn by seeing and using hands. These activities are known as developmental activities. In the House of Children, we refer them as exercises of practical life. These are simple activities, which the adults carry out in order to maintain and restore proper conditions. The adults perform these activities not realizing that the child is observing and gets mesmerized by these activities. Children show great interest in these activities and try to take part in them.
