Pythagoras Board

The Pythagoras Board is a classic Montessori math material designed to help children master multiplication facts through hands-on exploration and self-correction. This set includes a printed wooden board with 100 numbered squares and a matching collection of printed wooden answer tiles stored neatly in a wooden box with a lid.

The child selects a multiplication combination, finds the product, and places the corresponding answer chip on the correct square of the board. This concrete activity supports repetition, pattern recognition, and a deeper understanding of how multiplication tables are structured.

The material also includes a control chart, allowing children to independently verify their work. By comparing their placements to the control chart, they strengthen confidence, accuracy, and self-assessment skills—key components of the Montessori method.
