Sandpaper Letters Kannada

The Sandpaper Letters Kannada set introduces children to the Kannada script through Montessori’s tactile phonics learning method. Each letter—crafted in fine sandpaper—is mounted on pink (consonants)(ವ್ಯಂಜನಗಳು – Vyanjana) and blue (vowels)(ಸ್ವರಗಳು – Swara) boards for visual and linguistic clarity.

As children trace each letter with their fingers and say its corresponding sound, they gain multisensory awareness of language. This hands-on experience enhances reading readiness, letter recognition, and pre-writing coordination. Each board has a space
on the left for the child to keep it steady it with one hand while tracing with the other.

The Kannada Sandpaper Letters is presented before the Kannada Montessori Movable Alphabet Box.
