The Montessori Brown Stairs, also known as the Broad Stair, is a foundational sensorial material used to develop a child’s visual and tactile perception of width and depth. This classic Montessori material consists of 10 wooden prisms, each 20 cm in length, but varying in height and width from 1 cm to 10 cm. The prisms are arranged from thinnest to thickest, allowing the child to physically experience and understand the concept of dimension.
